Anger Group - Superhero Training Small Group - School Counseling

Superhero Training: Anger management Small Group for school counselors, special education teachers, social workers, and school psychologists.

This 8-session small group uses a narrative approach to help students tell the story of being stronger than their anger. As part of narrative counseling, it’s important to remember that the child is not the problem, and externalizing anger helps them to understand how to face it. This curriculum could also be done one-on-one with students.

1. My Superhero Manual (interactive notebook)
2. The Anger Villain (strengths and weaknesses of my anger)
3. My Superpowers (self-regulation strategies)
4. My Secret Hideout (safe places to go when dysregulated)
5. My Sidekicks (people who can help when I'm angry)
6. What My Superpowers can control and what they don't (in and out of my control)
7. Battle Zones (Triggers)
8. Superhero Graduation (group termination)
