Description
An interactive slide show featuring great visuals, discussions, writing activities and a mini quiz gives students many opportunities to compare and contrast Buddhism with Hinduism.
As part of the ancient history curriculum the students are required to learn about the major religions of each civilization. This is a 39 slide presentation about Buddha, the formation of Buddhism, its teachings, and how it relates to Hinduism. It is part 4 of ANCIENT INDIA and the Indus River Valley Civilization Teaching Unit PowerPoint Presentation .
Buddhism is the 2nd major religion of India. This is the fifth part of my teaching unit on Ancient India. It highlights the second major religion of the Ancient Indian Civilizations. This is an excellent resource to use either on its own or to supplement the text book. It has a built in component for discussion and writing. I have been using this presentation with my students for the several years (and have shared it with other teachers). All the students have really enjoyed the visuals and the interactive nature built into the presentation. Everyone who has used the presentations reports that their students were highly focused and engaged during each lesson.
