Ancient Greece - Grammar No Prep Cross Curricular Lesson
- Google Driveā¢ folder
- Internet Activities
Description
This is a fun no preparation activity that you students can do on their tablets or on a PC.
Children simply read through the passages and learn interesting information about ancient Greece and then drag and drop whether the highlighted word is an adjective, verb or noun.
At the end there is a bonus activity where children can extend their learning with some dictionary / vocabulary / thesaurus work and find appropriate adjectives to describe Zeus.
All instructions are on the presentation. It can also be fun to do with a teaching assistant and a small group or as a whole class warm up. I have found it useful when teaching a small group and having a starter activity for a more independent group.
All feedback is very welcome.
In this lesson you will find:
* Clear instructions for students to carry out an independent activity.
* Moveable pieces for easy drag and drop.
* Lots of interesting information about ancient Greece for cross curricular linking.
* Bright visuals for to grab your students attention (tried and tested with my students during online learning).
* Fixed backgrounds so to minimise nuisances such as images moving out of place and text disappearing.
* Straight forward drag and drop.
* A bonus activity for those children who finish early or to extend children and link to dictionary / thesaurus and vocab work.
This resource has been designed so that you have to do the minimal instruction which is not only perfect for class time but for distance learning where you want children to be able to get on with work without too much imput from stressed parents (or teachers :).
All feedback welcome.
Many thanks!
