Description

In this Ancient Egypt and King Tut CSI investigation, students analyze and use critical thinking skills to investigate the death of ancient Egypt's youngest pharaoh, King Tut. This CSI investigation is included in the Ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia Bundle!

Students are introduced to the background of King Tutankhamun, the role of pharaohs in ancient Egypt, the chaos created by his father Amenhotep IV (Akhenaten), and the mystery surrounding his death. Students investigate possible murder motives from two close advisors (Aye and Horemheb), the likelihood of an infectious disease, and the DNA results that show a bone condition. Students also analyze a variety of Tut's x-rays to deepen the investigation!

Lastly, students can ask additional questions (and conduct research) as an extension or enrichment opportunity, then complete a briefing report to the State Department where they break down what happened to King Tut!

Tons of fun, engaging, and easy to implement! Turn your students into detectives!

A full teacher key and a Google 1:1 version are included as well!
