Description

Thank you for your interest in Ancient African Kingdoms. This resource is not a curriculum and is best used as a supplement to your ancient world history or black history unit. This packet includes activities that introduce students to the following ancient African kingdoms: Nubia, the Mali Empire, and the Land of Punt.

There’s no right way to utilize these activities. Feel free to mix and match the ones you’d like to use in your classroom. These activities can be used as classwork, homework, assessments, peer group assignments, booklets, reports, early finisher work, and more! 

Nine activities are included to help develop and reinforce the following skills:

· Reading comprehension

· Critical thinking

· Reflective Writing

· Knowledge retention

****Here’s what’s included: Each Kingdom topic includes the following:

✅ Read About It: A two-page reading on the ancient African kingdom, complete with gorgeous images and interesting fun facts.

✅ Test Your Knowledge: A question and answer activity to assess reading comprehension.

✅ Write About It: An opportunity for students to express the most exciting thing they’ve learned about the African kingdom. (Great for oral presentations.)
