Description
Teaching students how to analyze informational text can help strengthen their writing and publishing skills.
Students will use magazines as nonfiction mentor texts to notice and wonder what makes a cohesive, informative, and visually appealing publication.
This lesson is a great supplement to your elementary writing curriculum, middle school writing prompts, or GATE or elective classes.
It can be used as a stand alone lesson on how to analyze informational text using magazines as mentor texts, or it can be included as one step in a larger project of student-created magazine publishing.
***GROWING BUNDLE IS AVAILABLE in my shop if you would like the other lessons for student-created magazine publishing.***
