Description

This ASL Jeopardy review game was created as a fun change of pace for my students. It can be used as independent practice, a review game, or an If Time Remains activity. My students loved it so much that it could also be used as an incentive for hard work and good behavior. I like to use review games for students to earn bonus points toward upcoming tests or projects.

This game goes with my ASL Elementary Lessons 1-6 (see below in "You may also be interested in..." The game is editable.

I do not own the rights to the Jeopardy template. I have had this template saved on my computer for years and cannot find where I downloaded it on the internet. If you happen to know, please comment on this product so I can give credit!

**Want to teach your 3rd-6th graders ASL? American Sign Language would be a great time filler, higher-order thinking exercise, or behavioral management activity. Check your state standards. Some states allow elementary students to get a high school credit for foreign language.**

What's included:

  • Editable Jeopardy game formatted for easy play with questions and answers on the following ASL topics
    • Why Should I Learn Sign Language?
    • Myths About Deaf Culture
    • ABCs
    • Days of the Week, Months, and Seasons
    • School Signs
    • Colors and Numbers 1-10
  • Terms of Use (1 page) Please read before using.

Notice: Some of the questions don't have answers, for example "What 3 letter word is your teacher fingerspelling?" You would just choose any 3 letter word (or whatever is needed for that type of question) to sign. It would have been difficult on these types of questions for you to look at what you are supposed to be signing so I left them up to you. I also like to give students (depending on age and ability level) a small whiteboard for these questions so they can keep up with the letters as they go.

These files are in one compressed ZIP file. To access the files:

1. right click zipped file

2. Open with > Windows Explorer

3. click "extract all" (it should be on the top right)

I hope you enjoy this product! More lesson plans will be coming soon and eventually will be bundled!

Also, look out for my jr high and high school ASL lesson plans (ASL 1-3)!
