Alternate Assessment Math Practice
- Google Docs™
Description
Being a high school intervention specialist, I have found that my students struggle with the math alternate assessment (state test); therefore, I have created a resource that goes through each type of problem that has been featured on the practice test.
The first set of pages is a practice test that students complete on their own. This way, you can collect baseline on what your students already know.
The following pages give different questions that also follow the alternate assessment practice test. You will first reteach the concept given and go through the question and answer together, and then students will have a similar question that follows that they can complete independently. They can use the example completed together in order to answer their own question. This helps you break down the question together and go through the provided choices before students attempt to work through a similar question on their own.
This format really helped my students because by the end, they were exposed to three different questions all related to the same topic.
*I teach in Ohio, so the math alternate assessment in your state may look different or have different topics! The product provided is given as a Google doc, so you are able to modify as needed (add more spacing, enlarge font, etc.).*
