What educators are saying

These handwriting practice sheets are the absolute BEST! I love how it has the language that coaches the young learners as well! Thank you!
I loved using these at the beginning of the year with my KDG kids. There were plenty of examples, but also plenty of room for them to make the letters by themselves. The pictures on each page are super cute. Thanks for this great resource.

Description

Help your students master writing letters with these tracing and print Alphabet Handwriting Practice Worksheets. This set includes 2 handwriting practice worksheets for each letter of the alphabet.

The 52 pages of alphabet handwriting practice come in the traditional manuscript style of letter formation.   Full and half-sheet alphabet handwriting practice pages are provided for each letter of the alphabet. All pages include detailed instructions for printing the featured letter. A boldface representation of the letter is also provided with numbered arrows to demonstrate each step of the proper handwriting formation. Additionally, dashed representations of each letter are given for students to begin with tracing the letters as they acquaint themselves with proper letter formation. Students then move to independently writing letters on the provided lines.

Black circles are provided in every row as a prompt for where students should begin each letter. The full-page sheets also include an image as a visual reminder of the letter’s sound.

These alphabet handwriting practice pages are perfect for morning work, independent practice, small group instruction, centers, early finisher activities or homework.  An easy-to-use, NO PREP, option for working on writing letters and handwriting skills.

Suggestions for Use:

Dedicate a portion of your weekly classroom instruction to letter formation. Teach one letter at a time. On the first day, introduce the letter and the steps for creating the featured letter. Students can draw the letter in the air,  create the letter using play-dough, write the letter on whiteboards... the sky is the limit. After students have had a day (or longer) to explore proper letter formation in a kinesthetic way, revisit the letter and teach them how to create it on lined paper. Each page in this packet includes detailed directions for how to create the letters of the alphabet. Recite these steps orally while you demonstrate the motions and encourage students to recite the steps while they work.

Use the half-sheet practice pages for a fast way to provide additional support. They are great for students struggling with specific letters and are great for practice at home. Directions are provided on each page to encourage consistency between home & school.

What Other Teachers Are Saying . . .

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ My students found this engaging and it's a great way to reinforce the letters they already know! Great handwriting practice, too. I print it out and staple it and students work on it throughout the week as morning work. Thank you!

⭐⭐⭐⭐ My favorite part is the starting point for the letter. My students tend to start there letters from the bottom. The dot has been a great reminder for students to start from the top.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ I laminated these for my son, and he will sit for a long time just writing his letters with a dry erase marker and then erasing them over and over. He loves that he is writing like his big sister and I love that he is practicing forming his letters!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I really like the letter formation sentences that you include.  This makes for a great way to reinforce correct letter formation.
