Allergy Awareness Week Unit

This is a full week of activities for an elementary school based Allergy Awareness Week. Its purpose is to better inform the students and faculty about the seriousness of food allergies, what they are, symptoms, how to respond, how to read food labels, and how to help a friend with food allergies.

The unit includes activities for each day school-wide, along with a detailed planned out school-wide presentation. It also includes various levels of activities for reading food labels and responding to scenarios about food allergy issues. There are letters to parents, teachers, book list suggestions, and morning announcements.
