Description

This one page reading summarizes the life of Alexander the Great, as well as his father, Philip II. It briefly describes a phalanx, Philip's time as a hostage in Thebes, the conquest of Greece, Philip's assassination, and the military conquests of Alexander the Great. It also explains the state Persia was in under Darius III and how Hellenistic culture remained in place after the death of Alexander. There are three questions at the end with an answer key on the next page.
