Description
Native to the Valley of Oaxaca in Mexico, alebrijes are animals that escaped the nightmares of an artist and appear as a variety of different species - both real and fantastic. This product is ideal for Hispanic Heritage Month, Day of the Dead, Sub Plans or any time of the year that your students will study Surreal Mexican Folk Art. Ideal for any level of student (English or Spanish).
This product includes 4 leveled texts (2 in Spanish and 2 in English). The readings are divided by present and past tenses and include 15 common verbs and comprehension questions.
The packet is editable in Google Slides, so you can edit the readings and comprehension questions to make this product fit what your students need and adjust for any level. From Google Slides, you can share on Google Classroom or download the entire 29 page packet as a PDF.
No preparation required. Ready to teach about this super interesting aspect of Mexican Art.
You are purchasing 20 beautifully illustrated alebrijes that I designed for students to color and enjoy. I would suggest decorating a bulletin board in class with the finished student work. Your purchase includes the rights to distribute to your students (current and future.) Thank you so much in advance for respecting the rights of the artist.
Please note: All Rights Reserved. All designs are copyrighted.
❁ No prep needed, ready to teach.
❁ Can be downloaded as a pdf from Google slides.

These resources are fantastic and the resources from this seller have helped me tremendously to get through the First Quarter of 100% Distance Learning successfully. They are engaging for the students and provide me with the data and feedback that I need as well. I cannot say enough positive about them and I hope they continue to create more of the same types of activities. Thanks so much for sharing your time & talents! Happy Fall ! ¡ Felíz Otoño !

This was exactly what I was hoping to find. My students are 100% virtual and I wanted to find a resource (to save me time) that helped them make a digital ofrenda in place of the normal shoebox ofrendas we make. I liked the twist of "decorating" each of the 7 levels which I don't usually cover. The meaning of each level is also explained. Simple yet I think this will help my students enjoy learning about the traditions as well as learn about their chosen person.
