Aesop's Fables - A Language Study for 6-12 Year Olds (Montessori-based)

This book is a teacher's guide to using Aesop's Fables to teach the English language to children. There are 21 fables in this guide, each with a list of activities that can be undertaken to reinforce language learning through the use of Aesop's stories, and ideas for cross-curricular activities are also given.

There are also two introductory lessons – What is a fable? and Who was Aesop? which you may choose to use before starting on the individual fable studies.

As a teacher you may wish to select a number of fables on which to concentrate, or you may wish to use this book as a year-long programme for study. If you choose to follow a year-long programme, by the end of the course all basic grammar, punctuation and word study concepts will have been covered.

This product utilises the Montessori approach to grammar, but can be used without this.
