Description

Are you looking for a fun game that your students can play as they practice identifying adjectives in sentences? This is a hands-on game that your elementary-aged students will love! They can play with a partner or in a small group. They will read sentences and name the adjectives. This game includes 45 sentences in all, so there are many adjectives to identify.

Directions and answers are included. Students take turns drawing a strip, reading the sentence, and naming the adjective(s) in the sentence. If they answer correctly, they get to keep their card. If they give an incorrect answer, the card gets placed back in the draw pile. The first person to collect seven cards wins the game! But be careful! If a student draws a card that says "OUCH", they must return all of the cards they previously collected back into the pot, and start collecting again from the beginning.

If you've never played an OUCH! game in your classroom before, give it a try! It's super fun!
