Description
Adaptive Paper
A strategy implemented for students with:
Fine Motor Skills, Visual Perception Skills, Sensory Processing Difficulties, Dysgraphia, Dyslexia, and other disabilities/difficulties.
In my own classroom:
I use this resource frequently in my special education social studies classes. Originally, typed in a word document opened the student up to feelings of isolation even more as it did not look like traditional paper other students were using.
I modified this resource to resemble traditional notebook paper to avoid students feeling 'different' or 'isolated' from their peers, especially during Peer Evaluation activities.
With modeling, supports and assistance, I have noticed improvements in my students hand-writing and confidence.
