Acts of Kindness Class Book Template #kindnessnation #weholdthesetruths

This is a simple yet effective project to encourage kindness, inclusion and empathy in your classroom and your community.

Students discuss acts of kindness in class, and then take the writing template home to complete with family members. They choose one story to write down together and bring back to share with the class.

I've been doing this for almost 20 years, and the stories that have been collected over the years have been incredibly inspiring and heartwarming!

Once the stories are returned, share them together, perhaps share them with the school in an inspiring hallway display (especially if other classes have taken part), and then bind them to make a class book keepsake.
My students have come back years later to read their old pages, and to see the new books made each year.

This could also be done as an in-class writing project as well.

I've included the color and black and white versions.
I have also included a simple kindness poster to print and display in your classroom.
