Description
This is a great product to really add some culture into your lesson plans. Students will need access to devices to search the web. This packet has 3 different activities that can be used as a unit of study or individual assignments. This product can be used digitally or in a traditional classroom setting.
Broken Hearts: This can be an individual, partner, or group activity. Cut out the hearts. Mix the hearts up and give to students. There are active links for students or short URLs to complete the research. Students will read or watch the information on the webpages and match the broken heart topic to the fact. There is a summary worksheet for students to show what they have learned. There are 20 Events to be researched.
Timeline Presentation: Included is a presentational assignment. Students will use the broken hearts or other research to create a timeline, adding 5 new events, not from the broken hearts activity. Students will present only the new events for their presentation. Presentations can be an individual, partner, or small groups.
Research Paper: There is an option for a written research paper. Students will delve deeper into one of the broken hearts topics and complete a research paper and presentation. The is a student activity packet included that has a cover page, a what-to-do student explanation sheet, an editable due dates sheet, a sources worksheet, a graphic organizer, a “how-to” research paper outline, and a work cited short guide.
This product works well with a learning management system or can be copied and used as a handout. This is a Google Slides presentation.
