Description: This mini unit is great for the beginning of the year. It gives the students a brief rundown of some of the skills that they will be working on while also giving them a chance to take a look at how to best approach teamwork. Teamwork is a vital part of this course when they complete Performance Task One for the AP Exam. This mini-unit is designed to last about 4-5 days, but can easily be adjusted to take more or less time.
This mini-unit is designed to accomplish three things:
- Build students' capacity for collaboration
- Pre-Assess students in key skills for AP Seminar
- Introduce students to Individual Written Argument essays and rubric
