AP® Env Science Unit 4.2 Webquest - Soil Formation - w/Digital Handout + Whole g

Product Description: If you're teaching unit 4.2, and need a resource that helps to teach soil formation, this is a good resource. The 21 question student handout will have students reading this site (Queensland Government, Australia) about how soils form, factors affecting how soils form, soil profiles, and so much more. Check out that site first. Here is how this lesson could go:

• Teacher uses whole group review to display the assignment directions, as well as the integrated lesson timer.
• Students complete the webquest either in pairs, or individually.
• Students turn work in to an online assignment once, say to Schoology or Google Classroom
• Teacher goes over the webquest, using animations to call on students to increase engagement. Students make corrections to their work as needed.
• After review, students resubmit their work a second time to the same online assignment. I use this method with Schoology and really like it. To do this in Google Classroom, students will need to rename the file to submit it a second time.
