THE PERSPECTIVE: We are very excited to create this resource all proficiencies including heritage learners. We wanted them to be confident in applying basic rules for including accent marks in their writing. We aimed to create an engaging foundation the students could manipulate and make their own.
THE PRACTICE: The teacher as facilitator chooses to use this resource as a whole class lesson, as an activity for a center, to assign for individual practice, as part of their sub tub kit or welcome new student pack.
THE PRODUCT: ACENTUACIÓN 1 | 2 | 3 FLIP FLAP, has been formatted as Google Slides™ to support you and your students in the Classroom or in Distance Learning. It includes the following:
- 18 visually appealing slides to guide the teacher as facilitator
- a clearly stated language and content objective in Spanish and English
- a PROFE a PROFE document with good-to-know stuff
- three 8.5 x 11in posters to visually show placement of accent marks
- one 8.5 x 11in poster synthesizing the information of the 3 posters. This can be printed 2 Up for students to keep for their own.
- a front-and-back B/W version of the Flip Flap booklet
- a front-and-back Color version of the Flip Flap booklet
- an activity to categorize 15 words into AGUDAS, LLANAS o GRAVES y ESDRÚJULAS
