A Year in Review, A look Ahead & Embracing New Rhythms- New Years Vision boards
- PDF
Description
Welcome the New Year as a family, class, or individual by setting the course for what's to come. Start with giving your previous year a review by asking yourself some questions like: What was my favorite part? What was the hardest part? and even reflect on some of your favorite foods you ate and books you read!
This resource can be done by the entire family or classroom. It's put together in a way that you can customize it to fit the youngest members to the eldest members in your household (or class).
Gather together or independently to find your chosen "word" for the year and take a look at a fun family activity that's included to really make your "word" come to life.
Since imagery helps us to keep our goals at the forefront, included is a guide in creating a vision board. To help you align your thoughts and what you might want on your vision board, a list of questions and examples are also provided, as well as a blank page to create your very own.
We talk about what a "Mantra" is and how it can be a powerful therapy tool to help us make our "words" become more than just "words." You're then given the opportunity to think about the mantra you'd like to take forth into this new year and how it will impact you by answering the questions given.
Included is a 30 day "Self Love Challenge!" 30-days of Affirmations and a guide explaining how positive affirmations can really water the "seeds" inside our minds.
I encourage you to work through this in a way that inspires you and encourages you to step into the new year with a more mindful mindset.
As a home educator, this has become a tradition that we do every New Years Eve. We sit down as a family and sprawl magazines all over the floor! It's messy and beautiful! I feel like I get the chance to really get to know my kids and their aspirations just by seeing their vision boards and the powerful intention words they pick for the new year.
I sure hope that this brings you that same joy, wether you're a teacher using it in a classroom setting, or a home educator sitting down to do it with their child, or just in individual doing this on their own.
My hope is that this serves you in a way that you need it most. And, as always, love and light from one educator, parent, and human to another.
