A Skippito Pack-ito-Math and Literacy for Skippyjon Jones Books

Aye, Caramba! This 92 page packet has everything you can think of to use with the muy funny Skippyjon Jones books! (Right now, it's for the 5 first books. I will have an update as soon as I get the newest one in my possession!)

What you will find in this jam-packed packet:

Comprehension pages for retelling, story maps, favorite parts of story, venn diagrams, problem and solution, personal connections, looking at illustrations to gain more info, character traits and a page to write about their favorite from ALL books.

I included a cause and effect cut and paste for each book.

I also used the stories to reinforce the "shades of meaning" common core standard. I have 4 activities to teach/review with, including a fun moving around the room to different cards to order!

There are multiple writing prompts with a bulletin board idea.
I have a fun non-standard measuring with beans (you'll need to provide the beans)

But wait! There's more! I have a mini-research packet included for students to gather basic info about Chihuahuas and Siamese Cats.

And I took the most frequent/useful Spanish words out of the books and have cards for students to use as a game to match the English to Spanish word, or to just have as a display as you read them.

Essential Question posters are included.
