What educators are saying

I've posted a 'Root of the Week' for years. Now I can introduce the idea with this great powerpoint! Thanks!
This was a great way to introduce Greek and Latin roots with my G/T students. They loved trying to figure out the super long word. I even had one come back two weeks later who had been practicing how to pronounce it!

Description

This is my absolute favorite way to introduce a year-long study of Greek and Latin roots! Students need to know your why and "buy in." What better way than to get them hooked into solving a puzzle! Present the incredibly LONG word in this slide show, and students will be competing to figure it out! With clear motivation and a game-like presentation, your students will be much more motivated to study etymology! You can find out more about how I used this in my class, HERE.
