Description

What's better than getting to say that we helped to eliminate someone's speech disorder? Not much, and that is why I am writing this with a smile on my face. I have actually done that by following the steps in this program. I have helped to eliminate frontal lisping behavior in many people by following the program contained within these pages. I first have the students complete the fun alveolar sound program steps and then I have them work on perfecting their /S/ sound with the fun activities and games contained within the program. Please believe me, it works! I have witnessed it myself. :)

10/13/2016: An extensive revision has been made to this document this past week. Please re-download if you have previously purchased this document!

This document is a labor of love and was developed over several years by finding out what works and what does not work when needing to correct a frontal lisp. Our wish is for you to use it to help out yourself or your clients and students by following the program guidelines today!

This program is designed to retrain the students tongue to stay behind their teeth. This is accomplished by repeating a variety of alveolar ridge placement sounds and words.

The program then moves on to /S/ sounds and words are produced with better tongue placement after the /T/, /N/, and /D/ repetitive sound training has been completed. The repetitive nature of the program will help to set up new neural pathways of understanding for the clients brain. The brain will hopefully make a quicker connection to the student’s tongue of the importance of where to place it.

In addition, the /S/ sound is broken down into steps. Mirror practice and thought of where the tongue should be placed is described. Helpful placement cues, an anatomical picture, and a cue card are provided.

The /S/ sound on its own, at the syllable, phrase, sentence, paragraph and conversational level is then practiced. Games and colorful pictures are provided for an enjoyable /S/ sound training experience.

Please download the preview. The preview provides you with a detailed description of the program and also several slides that show you exactly what the pages inside this document look like.

We sincerely hope that this document exceeds your expectations and we welcome any and all comments and feedback here at TPT or sent via email. We can be reached at: shandagaunt@gmail.com
