What educators are saying

My students loved using this resource. Kept them engaged and provided great activities. I really loved the well-laid-out lessons and ideas to add to our inquiry unit.

Description

Experiments ! Math fun! Science stuff! And flipables, foldables, web quests, and the science goes on and on. This makes you the coolest teacher ever! Kids love inquiry based learning and there are over 80 pages full of hands on inquiry that engages and promotes learning in this complete, interactive science unit of inquiry. I created this for our IB PYP theme of How the World Works with our central idea of:

Scientific principles create and shape the rocks on earth.

Lines of inquiry:

How are the different types of rocks connected?

How does the earth continue the cycle of rock formation?

What scientific principles shape the rocks on earth?

(inquiry into the 7 natural wonders of the world)

How does society use rock?

You will find:

Interactive notebook activities,

Science experiments that involve hands and eyes and hypothesising.

Task cards for math, literacy and science

Non fiction literacy articles for reading and writing.

Collaborative group work tasks

Formative assessments and homework

Summative assessment

Interactive web sites

And much more besides.

This unit can be used with 3rd -5th grade.

There are many more IB PYP units, ideas and resources found in my store and on my blog at PYPteachingtools.com

Enjoy!
