Description

This summer reading worksheet has been created to meet the Common Core reading literature standards for grade 6. You can use this grade level worksheet with any assigned or independent novel of your choice. In previous years, my school has opted to assign one novel that is required for each student to read and then they must choose one to two novels from a pre-approved list created by the ELA department, school librarian, and the town librarian.

Please make your own copy of this Google Doc and share with students and parents to promote reading throughout the summer. Ask students to return worksheets within the first week of school to then create book talk discussions in small groups and whole class.
