Description

These Student Common Core Standards Trackers include ALL of the 5th grade CCSS for Math, Reading, Writing and Language. Using this tracker is a great way for students to take ownership of their own learning. It also helps students develop a growth mindset by seeing their improvement on each standard throughout the year. It has helped improve my student's motivation, work ethic, and test scores! I hope your students love using this product as much as mine do.

Students can record their score on each standard in any way you choose (levels of understanding, percentage scores, number grades, letter grades, etc.). Give each score range a different color code to make it more fun for students and very easy for you to determine how students are doing with a quick glance. You can also choose which subjects you want to use this for. Use as many or as few pages as you like to make it work for your classroom.

Benefits of using this product:

*Students take ownership of their own learning and can use this information to set goals for improvement.

*Helps motivate students! They are always excited to get back their assessments to record their scores and see their improvement.

*Helps students develop a growth mindset by seeing their growth throughout the year. Trust me, you will see students’ confidence and self-efficacy grow the more you use this throughout the year!

*Have data on each student’s strengths and areas of need in one place (great to show parents at conferences, IEP meetings, Open House, etc.)

*Great for standards-based grading.

*Students can refer to their standards tracker when you want them to pick a skill/concept to practice during centers, computer time, etc. This can help make differentiation student-driven!

*Standards are reworded as "I can" statements using student-friendly language.

*Great addition to data folders/binders or a great way to start having students track their assessment data.

Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
A cube with side length 1 unit, called a β€œunit cube,” is said to have β€œone cubic unit” of volume, and can be used to measure volume.
