What educators are saying

These were great for my students to use while they are completing their spiral reviews. They could be independent instead of always feeling the need to ask for help.
Thank you for creating this resource. Each time I teach a new topic I go to this resource and see if there is a notes page to go along with my lesson. I enjoy using this resource.

Description

These math reference notes are the perfect addition to any math interactive notebook! There are two pages for every fifthth grade math concept. Best of all-they require NO PREP!

These quick math notes contain a general overview or guide for all fifth grade math concepts. These entries and printables are not meant to replace students’ current interactive notebook foldables and activities. Instead, they are an addition or supplement to students’ interactive notebooks. I use the first page for each concept as an introduction to new concepts. The first page primarily consists of graphic organizers, models, examples, and/or definitions. While I typically avoid color images in my products, I felt that a pop of color was beneficial for the purpose of the reference page. The second page for each topic contains a few problems related to the reference page. These pages should be completed together as a guided practice. These are all new pages that are not included in any of my math units. In fact, these math reference guides are perfect for personal anchor charts.

These reference pages are much more direct and straight forward that most interactive notebooks. The only cutting needed is to trim around the border of the page so that it will fit in student notebooks. I highly recommend having students complete the second page before they glue it in their notebooks. If you need the pages to print even smaller, you can reduce the size when you print, which will allow the pages to fit in any notebook.

Students can refer to these reference pages throughout the year. They are perfect for students who were absent when a concept was introduced and make a great reference for parents.
