What educators are saying

This is a great resource! It is very easy to use. Just print or use the digital version. Students were engaged and it taught the standard.

Description

“Did I already teach that standard?” …… “How did I teach that skill last year?”

Sound familiar? This Teacher Checklist will definitely keep you from asking those questions again! I designed the checklist to align with the ELA Common Core State Standards for 5th grade.

The checklist is divided into the following 4 color coded categories:
*Reading - Literature (RL.5.1 - 5.7, 5.9)
*Reading - Informational Text (RI.5.1 - 5.9)
*Language (L.5.1 - L.5.6)
*Writing (W.5.1 - W.5.9)

The Reading Literature and Informational Text section includes:
* the standard
* the standard number (like RL.5.1),
* a column to record the date the standard was taught
* a column to record % of mastery
* 3 blank columns so you can add other information
* a box to record the resources you used to teach the standard
* a box for extra notes
* ….and my favorite!.....Essential Questions that address each standard

The Essential Questions will help to guide your lesson for the day. They were written by taking the standard and turning them into a question. In my classroom, I will be posting the Essential Questions each day so the students know exactly what they will be learning. The questions could also be used in connection with an Exit Ticket to assess your students’ understanding of the lesson/standard.

The Language and Writing section includes:
* the standard
* the standard number (like W.5.1),
* a column to record the date the standard was taught
* a column to record % of mastery
* 3 blank columns so you can add other information
* a box to record the resources you used to teach the standard
* a box for extra notes
(There are no essential questions for Language and Writing)

After each standard, I have included a "Teacher Notes" page. When I was using my Teacher Checklist last year, I found myself wanting another sheet of paper to jot down some notes as I went along. Sooooo.....voila! A Teacher Notes page is now included after standard:)

I have included an 8-page preview (full pages!) so that you can see the quality of work in this product. Please ask any and all questions before you purchase.

**New Supplement available!!** Essential Question Posters for 4th Grade Reading Literature & Informational Text ~ aligned with the CCSS! This is one of my absolute favorite products! Check it out:)

I am always looking for ways to improve my products, so if you like what you see…leave some feedback or comments! I love hearing from you all!

Happy Teaching from TN!
