Make your math class bloom with love and decimals this Valentine's Day!

Transform your 5th-grade math class into a love-filled decimal adventure with this Valentine's Day Decimal Math Craftivity! This engaging activity helps to reinforce crucial decimal skills while also allowing students to showcase their creativity through a delightful Valentine's Day-themed display! The self-checking feature is a perfect way to ensure student’s answers are correct!

Students will apply their knowledge of decimal place value, understanding relationships between fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals, comparing and ordering decimals to solve 10 different decimal questions. These questions help to deepen their understanding of decimal concepts. This hands-on approach makes learning decimals a sweet experience!

After solving each decimal problem, students will find the corresponding heart with the correct answer. Cut and glue the matching heart pieces inside the jar.

The completed math craftivity makes for the perfect addition to your February bulletin board display!.

STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Students solve 10 different decimal questions that cover place value, relationships between fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals, and comparisons of fractions.

2. Once the questions are answered, students embark on a heart hunt to find the corresponding hearts with the correct answers.

3. Cut and glue the hearts inside the jars.

4. Display the completed craftivity on your bulletin board!
