What educators are saying

This was the perfect resource for me to use in my 5th grade math class. Saved me so much time and energy.
They are perfect for printing on colored paper and hanging with small binder clips from magnetic towel bars on my white board. I love not having to write them anymore. :)

Description

These 5th Grade Common Core math "I can" statements will be a cute and functional addition to your classroom. The math standards have been broken down into 57 "I can" statements that are written in language that is rigorous but accessible to kids.

The "I can" statements are printed 2 to a page and have the standard number in the bottom right corner. This will help you stay organized - and help students and administrators clearly see the day's objectives. Blank cards have also been included if you'd like to write in your own objectives.

This download includes THREE VERSIONS!
Version 1: Color Coded by Domain - these color codes also match my 5th Grade Common Core Math Vocabulary -WORD WALL

Version 2: Cute, glittery school supply backgrounds, coded by domain - all the statements within the same domain are on the same background.

Convert among different-sized standard measurement units within a given measurement system (e.g., convert 5 cm to 0.05 m), and use these conversions in solving multi-step, real world problems.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Use operations on fractions for this grade to solve problems involving information presented in line plots. For example, given different measurements of liquid in identical beakers, find the amount of liquid each beaker would contain if the total amount in all the beakers were redistributed equally.
Recognize volume as an attribute of solid figures and understand concepts of volume measurement.
A cube with side length 1 unit, called a “unit cube,” is said to have “one cubic unit” of volume, and can be used to measure volume.
A solid figure which can be packed without gaps or overlaps using 𝘯 unit cubes is said to have a volume of 𝘯 cubic units.
