What educators are saying

This is amazing resource. I use it when we go over different artist when we start to look at the different styles of art and I can relate it back to an artist. It helps the students stay engaged and focused.
This was a great resource to introduce a new artist of the week. The PowerPoints were well organized!

    Description

This bundle provides you with dozens of artist PowerPoints to use as a foundation for an Art History or Art Appreciation Curriculum. These PowerPoints expose your middle and high school students to a range of artists of different backgrounds and different styles from throughout art history.

This bundle contains ALL 50 artist PowerPoints featured in my store! Teach about an "Artist of the Week" every week for the whole school year, or perhaps a different "Artist of the Month" every month for 4 school years, or whatever structure works best for you and your students.

    PLUS this bundle also contains:

    • A worksheet to accompany any of these artist PowerPoints. This can be used as a single worksheet, or to create booklets that will help students take notes on all the artists they learn about. This resource includes versions suitable for both older students and younger students!
    • An Artist Reference Guide. This convenient guide lists all 50 artists, the years they lived, their nationality, art style, and medium. It has a space for you to make note of which artists you are teaching to which classes.

All artist PowerPoints include a short student-friendly biography of the artist and several slides of their artwork. In most of the PowerPoints, the artwork is presented in chronological order with the title and date of the work. Each PowerPoint is a little different, custom created to best teach about that specific artist. Please see the individual artist PPT page for details regarding that specific PowerPoint.

Each PowerPoint contains anywhere from 19 to 48 slides, due to the varying levels of complexity in the bodies of artwork and the varying amounts of artwork available to view for each artist. All PowerPoints are generally suitable for a 30-60 minute class period, depending on how much discussion takes place about the individual works.

These PowerPoints were created for grades 5-12. See the "50 Artists throughout Art History - Elementary K-8 Art Appreciation Curriculum" bundle for the same artists, but geared towards younger students (*Do NOT purchase both bundles, as they contain essentially the same materials*). Middle School teachers unsure of whether you should get this bundle or the K-8 bundle? Downloading some of my FREE PowerPoints for comparison may help you decide. More than half of the PowerPoints are identical in both bundles, so you really can't go wrong either way.
