A five senses mini lesson at Christmas for early learners.
Included:
- a printable where the teacher can write ideas from the children during a small group discussion about some things they can see, hear, smell, touch and taste at Christmas time.
- a printable where each child can draw an example for each sense (Christmas lights, crackling of wrapping paper, candy canes etc).
Skills encouraged:
- Presenting ideas and opinions in a group situation
- Reinforcing the concept that parts of our body are used for each sense
- Seeing the small pictures of the body parts (eyes, nose etc.) and "reading" the words beside them
- fine motor when drawing 5 pictures of Christmas related items
