Description

This self-scoring digital assessment (printable too) is a 4th Grade Common Core Math Mid Assessment, 4th Grade Math Post Assessment, 4th Grade Math Post Test, 4th Grade Math Summative Assessment, 4th Grade Baseline, Intervention, End of Course (EOC), etc. This useful assessment covers ONLY 4th Grade Common Core Math standards. 5th Grade standards are NOT covered.

  • Printable versions: I provided a Microsoft Word Document and PDF. ZIP Extractor may be required, a free app for opening ZIP files in Google Drive.

  • The assessment is designed to assess 4th graders' mastery of the 4th grade common core standards throughout the beginning, middle and end of the school year i.e. progress monitoring.

  • Easily analyze student data to determine gaps and misconceptions. Use data to guide instruction by pulling small groups and plan your lessons strategically to meet students' needs. The assessment automatically generates a score so you don't have to spend time grading! Instead, spend more time planning effective lessons and interventions to maximize learning!

  • Use the free teacher dashboard on Desmos to analyze student results. Easily monitor student performance in one snapshot based on particular questions/standards. See which questions/standards students need the most support in. Check out the preview for how to get students' scores.

  • There are a total of 30 multiple choice questions and students take the assessment online using Desmos, a free platform. While free-response questions are very useful, I wanted this to be quick and easy to implement. Instructions are provided on how to use Desmos in the slides (from the purchase) and preview.

**Please don't purchase "5th Grade Math Pre Assessment | 5th Grade Math Pretest | Distance Learning." They are the same, but it can be used for either grade level depending on the teachers intentions. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email me at brettpatrick5@gmail.com. Thanks!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
Recognize angles as geometric shapes that are formed wherever two rays share a common endpoint, and understand concepts of angle measurement:
An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a β€œone-degree angle,” and can be used to measure angles.
