What educators are saying

This was a great way to assess my new fifth grader on their previous math knowledge. It provided me useful data to create effective intervention that is individualize for small groups.

Description

This set of 70-item assessment ( divided into 3 sessions with 2 multiple choice sessions and constructed response test) has all the common core standards for 4th grade Math. You may use it as a mock-up test and best administered prior to the state test and could be given separately for at least 4 - 5 days since it's divided into 3 sessions or whatever works for you.

Although this assessment has more multiple choice, it is replete with high order thinking skills (HOTS) but also includes knowledge and comprehension skills. The 5- day time frame is only a suggestion. You may do what is best for your students and schedule.

It is also perfect for incoming 5th graders and be given as diagnostic test or benchmark assessment. What does it include?

  • 2 sets of multiple choice tests ( the first set has 28 items and the 2nd one has 27 items = 55 total questions )

  • a constructed response test with 15 items ( 35 points ) and each question has enough space for the solution

  • has 90 points for a perfect score

  • an answer key

  • 2 half answer sheets for multiple choice and 2 pages for all the constructed response answers (it's your option to use or not to use the answer sheets )

  • 4 forms for the score or recording sheets

  • each score or recording sheet has a space for 25 students' name

Thank you for your purchase.

Happy teaching!

Know relative sizes of measurement units within one system of units including km, m, cm; kg, g; lb, oz.; l, ml; hr, min, sec. Within a single system of measurement, express measurements in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Record measurement equivalents in a two-column table. For example, know that 1 ft is 12 times as long as 1 in. Express the length of a 4 ft snake as 48 in. Generate a conversion table for feet and inches listing the number pairs (1, 12), (2, 24), (3, 36),...
Use the four operations to solve word problems involving distances, intervals of time, liquid volumes, masses of objects, and money, including problems involving simple fractions or decimals, and problems that require expressing measurements given in a larger unit in terms of a smaller unit. Represent measurement quantities using diagrams such as number line diagrams that feature a measurement scale.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
Make a line plot to display a data set of measurements in fractions of a unit (1/2, 1/4, 1/8). Solve problems involving addition and subtraction of fractions by using information presented in line plots. For example, from a line plot find and interpret the difference in length between the longest and shortest specimens in an insect collection.
An angle is measured with reference to a circle with its center at the common endpoint of the rays, by considering the fraction of the circular arc between the points where the two rays intersect the circle. An angle that turns through 1/360 of a circle is called a β€œone-degree angle,” and can be used to measure angles.
