Sight Word Poems and Sight Word Poem Pocket Charts - These are both resources included in my 40 sight word poems for shared reading AND POCKET CHART BUNDLE! Are you looking for a reading comprehension and reading fluency activity that incorporates sight words? I created this set of sight word poems with MATCHING pocket charts to use during my shared reading time in my Kindergarten classroom. This set of 40 poems with matching pocket charts will provide you with poems to use during your shared reading time. These predictable poems are filled with sight words so that your kindergarten students can learn their sight words in "text." My students will highlight the sight words and keep them in a poetry notebook folder (cover provided). We will also look for rhyming words, punctuation, context clues, and more. After learning each poem, we will use the POCKET CHART version to sequence the poem in a pocket chart. This will be added to our literacy centers.
