What educators are saying

My students loved this resource as well did I. I had to make some adjustments with my students with disabilities. Overall, I am completely satisfied with this activity and will be storing it for next year to use.
I use these menus in gifted pull out classes in the hopes that students will be able to continue the project development in their regular classrooms someday soon!

    Description

Math Enrichment Choice Board Bundle – All 3rd Grade Standards– These five enrichment menu projects are an amazing differentiation tool that not only empowers students through choice but also meets their individual needs.

This resource includes all five of my 3rd grade math enrichment choice board menu projects

    - Fractions

    - Geometry

    - Measurement

    - Numbers and Operations in Base Ten

    - Operations and Algebraic Thinking

Each board contains three leveled activities for each standard: appetizer, entrée, and dessert. No two activities in each resource are alike!

Students can either choose to complete activities from the project menu or design their own projects with the approval of their teachers by completing the project proposal.

Each 3rd grade menu project includes…

    - Sample Lesson Plans

    - Menu Choice Board

    - Project Proposal

    - Project Rubric

    - Presentation Rubric

These choice board enrichment projects are especially wonderful for both gifted and reluctant learners because it gives the students a greater sense of ownership, the ability to work at their own pace, and the freedom to choose or design activities based on their own interests and readiness.

Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths using rulers marked with halves and fourths of an inch. Show the data by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in appropriate units-whole numbers, halves, or quarters.
Recognize area as an attribute of plane figures and understand concepts of area measurement.
