What educators are saying

My students love when I utilize these. They find them engaging and forget that they are actually doing math. Thank you so much for providing this resource!

    Description

This bundle includes every 3rd grade math Boom Card Deck that is in my Teachers pay Teachers store, at about 27% below the actual cost!

Formerly a "growing" bundle, this bundle includes at least one Boom Card Deck for each 2016 Virginia math SOL standard 3.1 through 3.17.

2016 Virginia math standards covered by included decks:

    • 3.1 Place value, rounding, comparing and ordering
    • 3.2 Name, write, represent and compare fractions
    • 3.3 Estimate and solve single step and multi-step problems
    • 3.4 Represent multiplication and division equations and solve single step word problems
    • 3.5 Solve practical problems by adding or subtracting proper fractions
    • 3.6 Count money, compare money, and make change from $5.00
    • 3.7 Estimate and measure U.S. Customary and metric length and volume
    • 3.8 Determine perimeter and area
    • 3.9 Tell time, determine elapsed time to the hour, and solve practical problems involving time
    • 3.10 Read temperature to the nearest degree
    • 3.11 Identify and draw points, lines, rays, line segments, and angles
    • 3.12 Identify and define polygons, combine and subdivide polygons
    • 3.13 Identify congruent and noncongruent figures
    • 3.14 Determine probability and list all possible outcomes
    • 3.15 Represent, read, and interpret data from pictographs and bar graphs
    • 3.16 Identify, describe, create, and extend patterns
    • 3.17 Create equivalent equations

I love Boom Cards because they allow for differentiation and keep the students thoroughly engaged. More importantly, though, my students LOVE boom cards! It is their favorite math center and I often find them choosing to play during indoor recess! These digital task cards are interactive and have students drag and drop items, click multiple correct answers, and type in answers. This helps them get the TEI-practice they so desperately need!

If more 3rd grade math boom cards are made, they will be added to this bundle. However there is no promise of a certain number of decks to be added, nor any set dates that additional decks may be created.

    Using Boom Cards

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (play provides instant feedback for self-grading Boom Cards). Fast Play is always a free way for students to engage with Boom Cards decks. For additional assignment options you'll need a premium account.

If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of their premium account. See the preview for a link to further information.

If you choose not to stay on a premium account after your free trial, you will still be able to assign all your Boom Cards to as many students as you see fit using Fast Play pins (which give instant feedback for decks that are self-grading).

Not sure if you'll like Boom Cards? Try free Boom Cards deck first.

Measure the length of an object by selecting and using appropriate tools such as rulers, yardsticks, meter sticks, and measuring tapes.
Estimate lengths using units of inches, feet, centimeters, and meters.
Generate measurement data by measuring lengths of several objects to the nearest whole unit, or by making repeated measurements of the same object. Show the measurements by making a line plot, where the horizontal scale is marked off in whole-number units.
Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
