Description

Use these close reading passages to keep rigor and learning alive in your classroom, even as winter break approaches! These passages have a reading level between 860 to 1120 and are great for small group/guided reading. I have always found there tends to be a lot of Holidays around the World information for the younger grades, but not so much for the intermediate grades. Each passage includes 4 comprehension questions where students are asked to go back into their text and underline the support for their answer. There is also a Writing About Reading extension for students to respond to text and show their evidence. Enjoy!
