Description
This integrated 2nd grade STEM curriculum not only covers all of the NGSS earth science and engineering for 2nd grade but also has built in technology integration options, math application opportunities, and an integrated literacy component in EVERY lesson.
Throughout this unit students will be actively engaged in fun, interactive, hands-on, inquiry based learning through student led activities. These lessons were created and compiled through a backwards design format where the NGSS and CCSS literacy and math standards are focus point of the unit and each lessons helps lead students to a real understanding of the standards. Not only will students be gaining a solid understanding of the NGSS core ideas but an opportunity to practice and develop their science and engineering practices. Each lesson has a literacy component already integrated into it, which helps students improve their core content areas.
