Clues for the 2nd Grade Escape Room and Escape Room 3rd Grade Breakdown:

  • Clue 1 math questions 2nd graders will measure to the nearest half-inch and practice fractions. For 3rd grade students, they will answer area, perimeter, and elapsed time questions.
  • Clue 2 students will solve a secret message using the code. Then they will unscramble two words to solve this clue.
  • Clue 3 students will read a short passage on fossils and understand the main idea
  • Clue 4 students will create their own fossils using a salt dough recipe they will need to measure and make themselves. You will need flour, salt, warm water, and measuring cups for each group. You can also add in some play animal toys for them to use prints or make them draw their own fossils with pencils. Students will bring their fossils home while they are still drying but we suggest laying them on parchment paper for them to dry during the school day before they leave
  • Clue 5 students will receive the final clues to solve the room

You will be able to add the names of people in the school and your name to personalize this summer escape room and tell your students that you will miss them! This makes a great end of year activity.

How to Use This Escape Room End of the Year Escape the School Game:

  1. You will divide your students into small groups. I recommend 2-4 kids per group. Then you will assign each group a particular color.
  2. Next, you will need 5 envelopes per team and the marker of their colored group. This way students only find their envelope clues.
  3. Then, you follow the clue steps.

Whether you're looking for a fun and challenging summer escape room to review math and ELA standards, or simply want to give your students an exciting way to review important concepts, this editable escape room is the perfect choice.
