Description

Based on the Common Core Unit 1, this introductory lesson focuses on an introduction to poetry, specifically - rhyming words. Later lessons should delve further into C.C.S.S. R.L. 2.4. It includes an objective page, essential question, lesson structure (I do, We do, You do) as well as slides to guide the lesson - step by step. Also included is a sample rubric that you can edit to your own preferences. The poems are related to seasons, so a science aspect can be added to the end of the lesson as well. The last page has the poem to print out for the students to complete the "You Do" portion.
