Description

These cards can be used in a basic FSL class to help students learn basic interactions in French. There are 20 cards and they are various levels of difficulty for differentiation.

They can be used in a split class where some students are just learning French (ex. Bonjour, comment ça va?) or some are slightly more advanced (ex. Ma couleur préférée est _____________).

I used these in a core French class in Ontario (students first year learning the language at 9 years old). I had students put themselves on a line in order of ability facing a partner. The students who were at a beginner level received an easier card. Those who were more advanced got a more advanced card. Once they showed me they could read and say the words, I told them to go make a funny skit with the card.

They absolutely loved this activity! Some made fake moustaches and added props.

Hope you and your students enjoy! Good luck!
