2-Dimensional Shapes - SMARTBoard lesson

"2-Dimensional Shapes" is a two day unit that explores shapes and angles. It includes a discussion of 2-Dimensional Shapes, a shape song, a page to help students identify shapes and sides, an interactive dice with shapes, an internet link to a 2D song, investigating a work of art for shapes and it also delves into angles. Students will be able to describe shapes and notice similarities and differences. This unit is meant to elicit conversation and will allow students to explore geometric concepts. Included is a suggested literature list for related math books. This is aligned with Common Core standards.
