1. "Run, Turkey, Run" Operations and Algebraic Thinking:
Using a Number Line as a tool in solving addition problems
with Missing Addends and Sums. (10 turkey number lines)
2. "Give Thanks" Data Collection and Analysis: Observe the
Thanksgiving picture in order to collect data using tally
marks. Use the tally marks to transfer information onto a
bar graph. ***EXTRA*** For those students who are
ready, data and analysis sheet is also provided to
differentiate/extend the activity.
3. "Nonstandard Nonsense" Measurement:Using Nonstandard
Units (turkeys) and Comparing/Ordering Objects
