Description
10 French Dialogues AU PASSÉ COMPOSÉ for Reading and Speaking Practice is another addition to my collection of 10 one-page French dialogues. These dialogues are an excellent literacy tool for comprehensible input, as well as for distance learning.
These one-page dialogues are ideal for students learning French as an additional language at a Late Beginner / Early Intermediate level. (Recommended for Core French students in grades 8-12, Adult Education learners enrolled in beginner and intermediate French programs, as well as French Immersion students in grades 4-7.)
Each dialogue:
- contains between 8 and 15 examples of the PASSÉ COMPOSÉ.
- is between 2 participants.
- focusses on relevant and timely themes. Check out the Preview for the title of each dialogue.
Grammar topics and themes included in these dialogues:
- les adjectifs
- les adverbes
- l'impératif
- l'infinitif
- les prépositions de lieu
- les expressions négatives
- l'école et les fournitures scolaires
A set of POST-READING QUESTIONS is provided for each dialogue in the form of a six-box table. These post-reading questions include comprehension questions asked using French Question Words (mots interrogatifs), finding particular vocabulary and/or grammar items from the topics listed above, as well as identifying examples of the passé composé found in the conversation.
Uses for these 10 DIALOGUES in the French classroom:
- As oral production (pronunciation) activities where students rehearse and act out the scenario as mini skits
- As reading exercises done as a whole-class, small group or individual activity using the post-reading questions
- As a precursor to writing tasks where the dialogues serve as models for students to create their own skits to present
- As one element in a literacy centre
- As part of a NO PREP supply (substitute) teacher package
