What educators are saying

These are great reference posters for my students. I have also minimized some of these and sent them home with bilingual math problems for students and parents who want to know what strategies should be used. Thank you for this resource!
I placed these anchor charts on my wall so I can use them when we start our math unit. I love the fact that they come in English and Spanish to support the diverse learners in my classroom.

Description

Spanish - These bilingual (English & Spanish) math anchor posters cover all of the math topics taught in the first grade curriculum.

Each anchor chart is 8.5 x 11.

I use these in my classroom to introduce a new concept and refer to it before I start a new lesson as a review of what I have taught. Once I finish a unit, I display them on my chalkboard for my students to use as a reference. I also photocopy each chart for students to put in their math notebook or homework notebook. My students also use them as a homework helper.

There are over 75 anchor charts that I use for the following units:

✱Place Value

✱Key Words

✱Addition

✱Subtraction

✱ Comparing Numbers

✱Time

✱ 3d Shapes

✱Fractions

Standards

10 can be thought of as a bundle of ten ones - called a “ten.”
The numbers from 11 to 19 are composed of a ten and one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine ones.
The numbers 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90 refer to one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, or nine tens (and 0 ones).
Compare two two-digit numbers based on meanings of the tens and ones digits, recording the results of comparisons with the symbols >, =, and <.
Use addition and subtraction within 20 to solve word problems involving situations of adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart, and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by using objects, drawings, and equations with a symbol for the unknown number to represent the problem.
